Festival State exhibition

As we approach another summer of festivals in Adelaide I had a look back over an old exhibition of mine and have just added a specific gallery to this website.

For the South Australian Living Artists Festival (SALA) in 2006 I staged my first solo exhibition at the Austral Hotel in Rundle Street Adelaide.

I had spent the previous summer going to a selection of the major festivals and events in Adelaide. This included the Tour Down Under cycling event, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Adelaide Festival of Arts, Womadelaide and the Clipsal 500 car race.

All photographs are black and white and one sample is below. Access the gallery via the Exhibitions tab or click here.

A solo exhibition during the South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival.

We gather in the parks and streets at arts, music and sports festivals. The people and the temporary landscape were depicted in black and white photographs. Incorporating photographs taken at the Tour Down Under, Adelaide Fringe Festival , Adelaide Festival of Arts, Womadelaide and V8 Supercars. A SALA Festival exhibition.

Reserving a patch of grass in Elder Park for the Adelaide Festival. I have overheard someone commenting on this photograph describing how it reminded her of her marriage. She was neat and he was messy.

After the race I saw these people walking a long way down Hackney Road with these step ladders.
